ATLETICO BRISBANE
This logo was designed for the Atletico Brisbane futsal team.
With friends in the team, I wanted to test my design skills and creativity.

It represents Brisbane, Queensland and Australia through symbolic imagery.
Coloured Version
The Brisbane City Hall takes the focal point, representing the city the team plays for.
Above the City Hall is the Commonwealth Star, a representation of Australia since Federation in 1901.

Below the City Hall is the Latin motto "Meliora Sequimur", meaning "We aim for the best." This is also the motto of the City of Brisbane.

Filling in the spaces either side of the text are 6 Maltese Crosses. The Maltese Cross has been a symbol of Queensland since 1896, where it was included in the State Badge. Six of these crosses were included to symbolise the founding regions (Brendale, Kenmore, Logan, Mt Gravatt, Oxley and Toowoomba) of the city's futsal competition - Brisbane Futsal League.
